Campaign Social
Thank you to all who came out for our Campaign Social on 9/15 at the Cambridge Community Center! In case you missed it, here is a campaign speech/update I shared.
Our corner of Lamoille County is really special, from the fantastic views to our many small businesses. Having knocked on over 700 doors within various corners of Cambridge and Waterville, I know this as a fact. Knocking on this many doors has also increased my awareness of the unique issues our area, and other rural areas alike, face. Some of these issues that have come up frequently at the doors include broadband, transportation, accessible childcare, and overall affordability.
As a legislative page at age 13, I was fascinated by the collaboration of Vermont’s local government. I witnessed firsthand how our legislators understood exactly what their community needs were and they were always able to directly reference recent communication with a constituent that represented this need. Whether that be a direct quote, or their neighbor coming in to speak to a committee.
Having grown up in this area and attending our public schools, I have witnessed the overcoming of struggle and growth of this very community. I am passionate about further supporting Cambridge and Waterville to continue to be thriving communities where travelers want to visit and locals want to stay.
As a legislator, I will be accessible. I will collaborate with others, including subject matter experts and those individuals who would be most impacted by the consequences of the potential policies.
This campaign is 100% community powered and we wouldn’t have the momentum we have today without the tremendous amount of volunteer time, energy, and creativity that has gone into every step of the campaign.
Please remember to get out and vote before or on November 8th! Early voting begins in just about 2 weeks, so now is a great time to check in with your friends, family, and neighbors to make sure they have a voting plan and understand that there are multiple ways to vote between mail-in ballots, voting early at the town clerks office, or voting on election day. My campaign can also help register people to vote and sign people up for early voting.
